Class Description
Intermediate classes are offered roughly once per quarter. Students may select from any of the intermediate level projects. This intermediate level class is a weekend intensive and consists of two 4-hour sessions on a consecutive Saturday and Sunday . Students must attend both sessions. The Spring class is on Saturday May 30th and Sunday May 31st, 1-5pm both days - open for registration! The Summer class will be on Saturday August 29th and Sunday August 30th, 1-5pm both days - open for registration! The Fall class will be in Nov - date TBD Students will complete a framed 8x10 panel over the weekend. This project includes some difficult shapes and advanced cutting skills will be taught during the class. Students will also learn how to build and install a zinc frame on their piece. Stained glass experience required (such as one or two Beginner level classes with me). Students are expected to already understand the basics of glass cutting, grinding, foiling and soldering. This class will not include a cutting lesson or practice at the beginning of class. Students will get straight to work on their pieces! In order to complete the project within the 8 hours, there will be a bit of homework. Students will be sent a digital copy of the pattern prior to class and will be expected to print two copies and cut out their template pieces prior to class. Students will also be expected to do some foiling between the Saturday and Sunday classes. All tools and materials provided.
